52 on Friday – Yellow
Welcome back! It’s Friday, and you know what that means – time to once again join my friends and fellow professional pet photographers from around the world in our 52 week project. The theme for this week – YELLOW!
Yellow has always been one of my favorite colors, it is so cheerful and happy. So my take on the theme is Happy Harvey … sporting a few of his favorite yellow things!
We were pretty excited about all the snow that moved our way this past weekend, so we bundled up and headed outside to enjoy it.
Harvey was itching to run and play in all the beautiful fresh snow, so I figured his bright and cheery scarf would be fitting for our theme 🙂
A while back I read an article dispelling the myth that dogs can’t see color. Interestingly, it would seem that dogs can’t distinguish between reds and greens, but see things with a yellow and blue spectrum. If you are interested in reading a little more about it, check out this article. So I guess it should come as no surprise to me that two of his favorite toys are yellow. The first is his Spring Chicken from Westpaw Design.
And last, but certainly not least – the ball! One of the first toys we ever gave him, and still at the top of his list for favorite toys. We only let him have it when we are actually going to play with it, otherwise he would walk around all day squeezing and chomping it. Thankfully the good people at Planet Dog know all about ball obsession, so they not only made it with safe and non-toxic materials, but this made in the USA ball gets a 5 out of 5 chompers on their Chew-o-meter! Cracks me up!

Thanks Kathryn! He’s a good egg 🙂 You wouldn’t believe all the expressions he has – I had several other images that I loved, but he was being all intense and serious, so he just ended up looking mad in the pictures. Dogs have the funniest personalities!
